So here are some professional newborn shots of my new little cousin Madelyn in the hat I made her.

The lace back and some of the side of a vest I’m making for my mom. It’s almost all slip stitch and the fabric’s kind of thick and looks a little like knitting.

One of the things I’ve been busy with in the past few weeks is this book arts project for my advanced poetry workshop. I’ve posted the needle felted poppy before and I wound up not using the other one I made. I made it by crocheting both covers and sewing in a piece of chipboard on each side with some red felt. I bound the pages in by tying chain stitches together and sewing them to the spine. I also hole-punched the edges of the card-stock pages and crocheted a red shell trim around the edges. The fly pages are granny squares. too. Anyway, the book is called Back Home and it’s a small collection of poems about my family. Oh and, I got an A.

The top picture is of some felted poppy appliques for my book arts project. The two bottom ones are of my boyfriend and me and then just my boyfriend in the sweater I made him on Easter. I finally finished it the day before Easter.
